A movie theater in Aurora, CO - An elementary school in Newtown, CT
A nightclub in Orlando -A concert in Las Vegas, NV
A church in Sutherland Springs, TX - A high school in Parkland, FL A synagogue in Pittsburgh, PA - Spas across Atlanta, GA
A supermarket in Buffalo, NY - A church in Southern California...

And now, an elementary school in Uvalde, TX taking the lives of nineteen children and two teachers. These mass shootings have all taken place within the past ten years.
The US has seen over 200 mass shootings since January — more than any other developed country. In the world over, mass shootings are frequently met with a common response: Officials impose new restrictions on gun ownership. Mass shootings become more rare; homicides and suicides decrease as well.
Why not in the US?
"When are we going to do something?  I'm tired. I am so tired of getting up here and offering condolences to the devastated families that are out there. I am so tired of the excuse, I am sorry, I am tired of the moments of silence. Enough!"
-Warriors Coach Steve Kerr
As a nation we are divided on many political issues, yet universal background checks seem to be one of the few issues that transcend those divisions. It is frustrating that it cannot pass in the U.S. Congress. 90% of Americans agree that background checks should be mandatory. What are they waiting for?  Make your voice heard, like your life depends on it, because it does...
With a heavy heart,
