Celebrating Our Patron, St Columba

Today (June 9th) is the Feast of St Columba, our patron. We give thanks for the blessings of our parish community inspired by the faith and perseverance of Columba, who is one of the three Celtic saints and patrons of Ireland (the others being St Patrick and St Brigid). When selecting the name for our parish at its founding, Bishop Alexander selected the patron Columba he said, "because communities thrived on account of the witness Columba shared and he inspired generations to do the same. May the good people of what will be St Columba's parish follow his example and share their stories of their faith in Jesus Christ."

Blessed Columba, pray for us.
