Learn About Proposed Improvements to the
Solar & Energy Storage Systems Permitting & Inspections Process
The City of Austin Development Services Department (DSD) and Austin Energy invite you to participate in a stakeholder engagement opportunity to provide feedback on newly developed process documentation for solar photovoltaic (PV) and energy storage systems (ESS) installations.
New guiding documents were created to provide clarity on the permitting and inspections processes for PV and ESS installations, with the goal of improving the efficiency and coordination for both staff and contractors who perform, permit, and inspect this work.
City staff will present updates to the newly documented process and solicit feedback from attendees on clarity, effectiveness, and other suggestions on how future iterations can be improved.
