Thursday storytime is moving to the park! Miss Monica will read books and we will sing songs and learn rhymes together. Bring your own comfy blanket, pillow, or lawn chair to sit on.

We are excited to announce that the library cart drill team will be returning to the Sandy Mountain Festival Parade on Thursday, July 6th. This talented group of library staff will be showcasing their precision driving skills as they maneuver their book carts through the parade route. Oregon DinoStory

Explore fossil evidence, dig deep into time, and discover what makes a dinosaur a dinosaur. Come visit us until July 11 for this dino-mite adventure and explore the clues that fossils reveal about Oregon during the Age of Dinosaurs. Presented by the Museum of Natural and Cultural History, University of Oregon.

Teen Makerspace Workshop

This dynamic hub is specifically designed for creative and curious young minds between the ages of 13 and 17.

Here, you can explore, build, design, and craft to your heart's content, fueled by your imagination. Equipped with state-of-the-art resources like 3D printers and laser engravers, our friendly library staff is here to guide you as you bring your unique ideas to life. As you engage in this exciting journey, you'll not only acquire new skills and techniques but also connect with fellow teenage makers who share your passion.

Creation Station


2nd and 4th Mondays, 10:00 am - 12:00 pm

Sandy Public Library Community Room


Creation Station is a twice-monthly interactive program that welcomes adults with disabilities on the 2nd and 4th Monday of each month. Art Lab, on the 2nd Monday, will offer several arts and crafts stations with various materials to accommodate different interests and abilities. Maker Lab, on the 4th Monday, will offer puzzles, games, LEGOs, and other building and problem-solving materials. For more information email Katie Murphy
