Message from Pastor Tim
I am very pleased that so many people have signed up to attend the goodbye luncheon for Jon. We are going to have a great celebration on Sunday, last chance to makes reservations by clicking here:  Meal Reservation Link - deadline is tonight, June 24th! Definitely going to need hands to set up and clean up for the luncheon.  Many hands make work light. Click here Response Form to sign up to help.

Setting up church celebrations and cleaning up is actually a form of hands on prayer. We will send the Nelsons off with lots of good prayers.

I would like to remind us all that on Sunday July 3, we will be celebrating communion and that it will be Single Service Sunday. Once service at 10:30.

Deep peace of Christ to you,

Tim
Message from Pastor Jon
Dear Friends and Members of Ark and Dove,

I hope to see many of you on this my last Sunday at Ark and Dove. It will be a time of thanksgiving for the great gift you are to me. I am going to save my expressions of gratitude for the services and reception, so please watch the service if you are unable to come. I do hope that, one way or another, I can say thanks to you. I believe that today is the last chance to RSVP for the reception.

It is and will be hard to say goodbye to this church. So many good things over so many hard times have happened here. I will watch from afar what God will do in and through Ark and Dove. New people keep coming here. You keep adapting and reforming around the new things God is doing. You shift when needed; you accommodate to evident needs. God's love overflows here and you draw deeply from the well.

Many have said to me over these weeks, "I am sad for us, excited for you." I must now say the same to you. I am sad to leave, but so excited for you. Believe me, Ark and Dove is something very special. It will continue to be so special to people who need something other than what they have seen before. The next pastors, leaders, and visitors who come through those glass doors will usher you into God's good future. I look forward to seeing that happen.

Peace,
Pastor Jon
Verse and Prayer
I thank my God for every remembrance of you, always in every one of my prayers for all of you, praying with joy for your partnership in the gospel from the first day until now.
-Philippians 1:3-5
For all the love that is shared among us, for all the peace that is known between us, for all the faith that is proclaimed to us, for all the hope that is given for us, and for all the joy that is experienced by us, we give you, O God, our thanks. Amen.
Last week, I talked about this Sunday being a day of new beginnings and endings for our church. I'm choosing to focus on the new beginnings this week. New beginnings for the Nelson Family. New beginnings for our church as we step into a new phase without the Nelsons. New beginnings for our band, playing for the first time this Sunday. This week will be a celebration that we were blessed with seven years with Jon and Christina and excitement for their family as they begin a wonderful new adventure.

We will have a special guest musician for the services and the celebration for Jon - Pat Sise! For the services, we will sing "Hold On To Me" by Lauren Daigle, and we will send the Nelsons forward with "The Blessing" by Elevation Worship. Pat and I have some special music planned for the celebration afterwards as well, but we will keep that as a surprise.

I look forward to celebrating the new beginnings with you this Sunday. Jon, Christina, Emery and Elias- you will be missed more than I can express. Here are some photos of our adventures throughout the years. My favorite might be the one from this year, when my son asked if he could be in your family Easter photo. :-)

With love,

Rebecca

Discipleship
The Stewardship Team would like to extend our thanks to all of the congregation for the sharing of your time, talents and resources. Your dedication and generosity encourages others simply by setting the example. Many of us congregants have chosen to ease the process of providing our financial resources by utilizing regularly recurring Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT). Giving via EFT provides convenience for the giver and consistency for the church. However, you may find that during church services you miss having the opportunity to place your gift in the offering plate. It is important for us to participate in the act of giving as part of our worship. If you have chosen to give via EFT, please consider dropping an “I donate via EFT “ slip located in the seat-back pocket in front of you into the offering plate during the Sunday offering. By doing this, not only will you have a tactile reminder of God’s blessing to you to ponder and be grateful for, but we pray that this will also allow others to see how many of Ark and Dove’s members give of their financial resources and encourage new offerings whether they are from new visitors or members still considering whether or not to donate. In utilizing this card, a symbolic representation of your gift is placed with the gifts of others and blessed together through prayer. In gratitude for your continued generosity of your time, talents, and resources, have a wonderful summer.

The Stewardship Team.
