State Bar of New Mexico Sets Record for Total Amount of Grant Funds Awarded
A Commission of the State Bar of New Mexico has awarded just over $1,200,000 in the grant funds to nine civil legal services organizations for the 2023 Fund cycle. Grant recipients for the 2023 Fund cycle are Disability Rights of New Mexico, Enlace Comunitario, Las Americas Immigrant Advocacy Center, Native American Disability Law Center, New Mexico Environmental Law Center, New Mexico Center on Law and Poverty, New Mexico Immigrant Law Center, New Mexico Legal Aid and Pegasus Legal Services for Children. Staff Attorneys - New Mexico State Bar Foundation Helplines
The New Mexico State Bar Foundation, the charitable arm of the State Bar of New Mexico, is currently seeking staff attorneys for its two legal helplines, including the Legal Resources for the Elderly Program (LREP) and the Modest Means Helpline. One position is full-time (40 hours/week) and one is part-time (30 hours/week). The full-time position's salary is $60,000-$65,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications. The part-time position's salary is $45,000-$50,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications. Most of the work can be performed remotely from within New Mexico, with occasional mandatory office days. View job posting below for instructions on how to apply.
