A JEWELRY JOURNAL

Lately I have been inspired to doodle and draw. How long this will last, who knows? But like in everything, practice makes perfect.

I hope to use some of these "doodles" in my next batch of Silk Shawls.

I must admit that I was inspired by Leonardo's (Da Vinci, that is...) drawings of horses- but my horse herebelow is "Selenita," the young mare my Father gave my siblings and me for Christmas 1968, (while still in Argentina and soon on our way to Japan) and so named for the upcoming Mission to the Moon by Apollo 11 in 1969!! (Selena= Goddess of the Moon...)

And life is a circle... About 15 years ago? I had the opportunity of meeting Buzz Aldrin, former astronaut and second to walk on the Moon, who kindly signed an autograph for my then eight year old nephew!
