Find Out About the Choice and Career Opportunities Available For Your Child  The School District of Palm Beach County provides families with a variety of school Choice and Career Program options and encourages parents/guardians to explore all that we have to offer. The application for the 2023-2024 school year will open on November 1, 2022. The deadline to apply for an Arts program requiring an audition is December 9, 2022, and the deadline to apply for all other Choice programs for the 2023-2024 school year is January 27, 2023. Submit student applications at: www.mypbchoiceapp.com. REMINDER: The College and Career Fair will be hosted on Tuesday, November 1, 2022, from 5 - 8 p.m. at the South Florida Fairgrounds Expo Center. Don’t miss out on this great opportunity to meet with 85+ colleges, universities, and career programs from all over the country.

Reaching for the Stars and Paving the Way

The Five Star Award designates and recognizes schools that have total community involvement. The areas that encompass this award are Community/Business Partnership, Family Involvement, Volunteers, Student Community Service, and School Advisory Council. The District is proud to celebrate 43 schools that completed the requirements to earn the Five Star award for 2022! Watch the ceremony here.

The Teacher Who Does it All!

This week's Thank a Teacher winner does it all at Sandpiper Shores Elementary! Keri Norris not only teaches fifth-grade math and science, but also chairs the School Advisory Council, oversees the yearbook, and helps other teachers with professional development. Congratulations to Ms. Norris, this week’s Thank a Teacher award recipient who earned a check for $150 from HCA Florida Healthcare! Click here to watch the surprise!

Last weekend, District teachers, staff, and students joined close to 2,000 walkers at the 28th annual Down Right Extraordinary Walk at John Prince Park to celebrate the Down Syndrome community. Click here to watch the exciting event!
