We brought together Climate Week Champions, youth leaders, New York City educators and from around the world to honor Walter Cronkite’s legacy and those who are shining a light on solutions to protect our Ocean fragile ecosystems. The Institute has worked on islands that are most affected by the climate crisis. We all live on an island – Planet Earth – and everything is connected. The climate crisis is affecting every one of us. What can we do to ensure that we have a future? That we have a planet for future generations. We need to train the emerging young people that are living right now so they can pass the torch.” Josue Cruz Morales, Cronkite Award 2010 recipient.
