THS Varsity Fastpitch Builds
Foundations and Friendships

Spring is in full swing for the Tahoma High varsity fastpitch softball team. On Saturday, March 5, the softball team hosted their first annual fastpitch clinic, which offered girls ages 9 to 14 the chance to work with Tahoma players on fundamentals and learn from athletes at the high school varsity level.

Matt Brashears, an Instructional Coach and ELA Content Specialist, shares the progress he has already seen in middle school ELA students with the rollout of the new "Into Literature" curriculum this year, as well as some of the other benefits literature can have on students.

Part of Tahoma's equity work is to consider how we can diversify the perspectives that are included in our historical lessons. To capture the full story, staff are connecting with individuals from the Muckleshoot Indian Tribe, whose lived experiences and culture are often different than what is traditionally taught.

Meet Judy Beliveau, Tahoma High School's Next Principal

Judy Beliveau is the daughter of two educators. As she says, her destiny to be a school administrator started at birth. Soon, she’ll be leading the Bears as Tahoma High School’s next principal.
