  • Look for - ebook codes, canceled class notices, & messages from teachers.

  • Check schedules on PowerSchool, Blackboard, and/or MyWCC.
  • Know where to go and when to go there.

  • Contact BASE advisor for help if needed.
  • See your advisor’s Calendly link for meeting times the week before classes resume.

  • Pick-up winter college books.
Other Supplies for College Classes

Some classes require specialized equipment or materials. With a few exceptions, WTMC provides most of these. Students should never pay for any class materials without speaking to Ms. Williams in the WTMC office first.
Winter Textbook Pick-up

Students with winter college classes MUST PICK UP their textbooks from the WCC Bookstore between Jan. 3 - 17, including books for late-start classes.

  • Students need their ID and a book sticker to get their winter books.

  • Students with fall college classes should have gotten a sticker from the bookstore when they returned fall books.

  • Students without fall college classes get a sticker from the WTMC office.
eBooks and online Homework Systems
Some college textbooks are ebooks and most WCC math classes use online homework systems.

  • Students will receive an access code from the bookstore. Always use the two-week trial code first, then activate the full semester code. (Once the full code has been redeemed, WTMC can't be refunded if you drop the class.)
Technology Access for College Classes

On-campus computing resources are available for all students. Students can access any software they need in the GM computer commons or department labs. This includes students taking online classes.

  • Students taking tech-heavy WCC technical classes (VID, CPS, ANI, GDT, PHO, etc.) should expect to spend time on campus in the computer lab.

  • WTMC will not reimburse students for the cost of software license subscriptions and can not install specialized software for WCC classes on WTMC laptops.

  • A limited number of WCC laptops are available for loan from the GM Learning Commons. Your WCC instructor can help you check one out. Once you have a WCC laptop, email Mr. Long for help accessing the software you need.
