NEW: Character-Driven Coaches Training is Now Live

The new Character-Driven Coaches Training is now live. In this new course, coaches will learn tangible lessons on how to shape students’ values through sport. The course is open to all coaches and administrators. To confirm if you or your coaches have previously completed the training, please contact SAED@naia.org.
NEW: What Factors Influence First Generation Student-Athlete Retention?

Composite data from colleges/universities shows that first-generation students, generally, are more likely to drop out of school compared to their non-first-generation peers. How does the national data compare to first-generation NAIA student-athletes? Are there factors that influence first-generation NAIA student-athlete success?

NEW: National Office New Hire

Sara Eckinger has been hired as the NAIA's director of student-athlete experience & development. Sara has a background in health services education, advocacy and prevention. She comes to the NAIA from Avila University, where she has served in multiple student-facing roles. She designed and implemented their programming related to domestic violence awareness and prevention, then transitioned into the director of student support services. Welcome, Sara!
NEW: Scholarships for Women Leaders National Convention

MOAA is partnering with Women Leaders in College Sports to provide scholarship opportunities with preference given to current MOAA members who are non-members of Women Leaders in College Sports. The scholarships provide access to Women Leaders National Convention with a fee waiver of registration ($500 value). Women Leaders will manage the application process online, and MOAA will select final recipients.

NEW: The NAIA's Eligibility Edge

In addition to The Score, the NAIA is now producing a monthly newsletter called the Eligibility Edge, dedicated specifically to eligibility topics. While The Score will continue to include high level eligibility information, the Edge will allow for the sharing of more detailed stories and member highlights.
 
The Edge is being sent to ADs, commissioners, coaches, FARs, registrars, compliance administrators, eligibility chairs, and EC contacts. Please contact us with any questions regarding content.
