Call for Artists:
Public Art Project Opportunities in Maryland
Frostburg State University & Towson University

MSAC is working with the University System of Maryland on the artist selection process for public art commissions in two Capital Improvement Projects. The calls are open to all US-based artists. The online application only requires a resume, letter of interest, and background images. No proposals are accepted at this stage. The Artist Selection Committee will select three semi-finalists for each project at each University to develop artwork proposals. Semi-finalists will be offered a stipend of $2,500 each for their time and travel. Click here to download and review the full RFQs before applying at publicartist.org. | |

Artists may apply for one or both of the following projects:

Wall-mounted two-dimensional or low-relief artwork ($75,000)*

Three-dimensional sculptural or installation-based artwork ($210,000)*

Deadline: Monday, August 15, 2022, 5:00 p.m. ET
Artists may apply for one or both of the following projects:

Two-dimensional or low-relief artwork for the building interior ($190,000)*
-
Three-dimensional, sculptural or landscape-based artwork created for the building exterior ($355,000)*

*Artwork budgets include artist’s design fee, materials, fabrication, and installation. See RFQ for details.
