CTV recently upgraded our broadcast servers - and all of the channels look great! The community calendar now includes the current weather and schedule. You can still watch all of our channels on the website (no cable required!) communitytv.org/watch

CTV accepted the opportunity to take on the large office space at the back of our building just off the kitchen. The main area is a large sunny room adjacent to the back patio surrounded by windows on three sides. On the fourth side of the room, are 3 offices and a large conference room. An additional conference room and storage area are also part of the new arrangement.

Members using the studio will no longer have to share the kitchen or parking lot with other tenants. We also added some much-needed space for equipment storage.

The pandemic hurt many local nonprofits including CTV. We had to close the studio for the safety of members. But that didn’t stop us! Using virtual platforms like Zoom and Google Meet, CTV produced 26 episodes for local nonprofits for "Non Profit Spotlight”, 3 Covid Updates with Health Officer, Dr. Newel, and a 2020 election special informing the community “How to Vote in a Pandemic”. CTV interns used Zoom to produce “Joining Me Now” a short series about Santa Cruzans, featuring activist Curtis Reliford, Wildlife photographer, Jodi Frediani and others.
