From the APEX to Australia: Lehman Lightning senior and former CUNYAC and Metropolitan Division III Player of the Year Isaiah Geathers signed a pro-contract this spring to play basketball for the Keysborough Cougars. Read the story.

New Director José Higuera López Touts the CUNY Mexican Studies Institute Mission

Higuera López talks about continuing the Institute's work on behalf of Mexico, the Mexican community in New York, and all of Lehman and CUNY. Listen to the WBAI interview. (Segment starts at 34 minutes).

Playwright in the Limelight

Lehman alum and Columbia master's student Amalia Oliva Rojas is one of two inaugural recipients of the Hansberry Lilly Playwright Fellowship, "designed to address financial disparities based on gender and identity, while advocating for racial and gender parity in the theatre." Helping Students Learn to Love Math

MathPlay by Lehman alum and adjunct lecturer Libardo Valencia was released this week. The book is a practical guide for engaging students with mathematics and some of the sample work included was done by Lehman students.

On Film: Lehman Student Robyn Ransome tells her story at Perseverance: New York Stories which premiered last Thursday at a screening in the Lovinger Theatre. Faculty members David Schwittek, Justine Blau, and Dante Alberti attended, as did Robyn, Amanda Lopez and Steven Ngin–the students whose memoirs were featured.
