Delivering News and Updates on Wills, Trusts, and Estate Administration Matters
In this edition, we say goodbye to one of our favorite people, introduce you to a potential treasure trove for your family, ask for input on how to make our education efforts more impactful for you, and remind you about a real estate scam that has almost snared several of our clients!
We are sad to announce the departure of Sara Krueger from Privette Legacy Planning. She has been a faithful member of the firm since October 2018 (though her friendship with Amy dates back to their Cary High School days).

Her bright smile and cheerful demeanor will be sorely missed. Sara will not be easy to replace, but we are committed to finding another superstar to join our team. Please be a little patient with us as response times to emails and phone calls may be delayed during this time of transition.

We are also reducing the number of daily appointments for the time being so that we can continue to provide the high level of estate planning and administration services you have come to expect from us.

If you would like to send a message of thanks or appreciation to Sara, please email Amy. She will be sure Sara gets them!

One of the most underused resources in estate administration cases is NCCASH.com!
This website is run by the NC Department of State Treasurer and serves to connect people with unclaimed property that has been surrendered to the state.

You may think it's a rare thing to get a hit, but we probably find money in about a third of our cases. A few weeks ago, we were able to find money for a client whose husband had recently died PLUS money in her name and in the name of two of her children!

As the Executor or Trustee, you are responsible for collecting all assets the deceased person had. Take the time to run a quick search on NCCASH.com. You never know what you'll find!

THANK YOU!
We made you aware of this scam in last month's newsletter, and we've already had two clients tell us the article saved them. One client was getting ready to mail the company a $109 check when she saw the June newsletter and realized it was a scam. Another client reached out to make sure the mailing they received was part of this same scam, and it was!

We are concerned this might be a bigger issue that snares more folks than we first realized. So, we wanted to bring it to your attention once again! Help us get the word out to your friends and neighbors so they do not fall victim to this scam!

As a reminder, here is what the mailing looks like:
Be warned and beware!
