New Livery License Number Range

The Department of Business Affairs and Consumer Protection (BACP) has worked with the Illinois Secretary of State (IL SOS) to expand the number of City of Chicago livery licenses.

The current range of City of Chicago livery license numbers is 7000 to 9999. The expanded range of City of Chicago livery license numbers is 70000 to 73000. The IL SOS will continue to issue Illinois license plates which correspond to City of Chicago livery licenses.
