GA's Annual Compassion Project: Coming Soon!

For the past 10 years, Gang Alternative, Inc. has been celebrating the season of Thanksgiving by blessing its clients with turkeys as a part of GA’s Annual Compassion Project with over 1200 turkeys distributed last year in Broward and Miami-Dade Counties.

We ask you to join us as we plan to distribute at least 1500 turkeys, grocery packages, and other necessities to our community on Saturday, November 19th through the sponsorship of turkeys and groceries (bulk order preferred); monetary donations; or hot meals (for the day of the event).

Building Connections Through:

Healthy Relationship Building

W3, our in-school and after-school program in Broward County, allows parents and other trusted adults to positively influence their teen’s approach to romantic relationships by improving communication and increasing their knowledge of teen risks.

As a way to build a meaningful discussion around this topic, W3 hosted a parent engagement event where participants' parents did a DIY project in a healthy relationships workshop to foster better communication between parents and their teens.

National DEA Take-Back Day

GA, through UPDFCC and UPSCM and in partnership with the DEA, held another successful Prescription Take Back Day. Our North Miami event collected 10 lbs. of prescription medications, which could have otherwise gotten into the wrong hands and subsequently could have been misused. Special thanks to the North Miami Police Department, the DEA, and our other partners for their continued support of our substance abuse prevention efforts.

Give Miami Day is Two Weeks Away!

We are now 2 weeks away from #GiveMiamiDay (November 14th-17th ).

All contributions help sustain our programs that are not grant-funded, like Youth Splash and Kid Splash, which have been transforming children and youth for over two decades through spiritual fellowship

and strengthening relationships with God.

You can help us reach our goal of raising $50,000 this year by becoming a Champion and creating a free fundraising page!
