Happy Fourth of July, 2023
Editor's Note: The Hawaiian Church Chronicle is released on the second and fourth Thursdays of the month, but every so often, the dates align to create a 3 week gap between issues. This Chronicle Supplement is an abbreviated version of the Chronicle, to help fill that gap with time-sensitive information and announcements.
Proper 9
O God, you have taught us to keep all your commandments by loving you and our neighbor: Grant us the grace of your Holy Spirit, that we may be devoted to you with our whole heart, and united to one another with pure affection; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen.

Volunteers Needed for Special Olympics Games
Special Olympics O'ahu is excited to announce our upcoming games! Our Soccer and Bocce competitions will be held on Saturday, July 15, at Waiau District Park. This will be an opportunity for our athletes to demonstrate their athletic skillsand take pride in their accomplishments. It’s a fun day for our athletes, families, and volunteers!
WE ARE IN NEED OF VOLUNTEERS ON JULY 14-15

We have opportunities throughout the day, and in many different areas. There is a place for everyone! With your help, we will be able to provide a meaningful and positive experience for Oahu athletes with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
If any members of your church would be interested in volunteering in any capacity, or as a group, we will find an opportunity that works! Please email Paula at oahuad@sohawaii.org, or call 808-695-3538.
Special Olympics is about transforming lives, including your own. It’s about a spirit of giving and teamwork. It's about making your community and neighborhood a more welcoming and accepting place for people of all abilities. Volunteers are the backbone of the Special Olympics movement.
