The Bolsa Chica Nature Preserve is a protected wetland and ecological reserve covering approximately 1,300 acres (526 hectares) of land. It is situated between Huntington Beach and the city of Seal Beach. The preserve is recognized for its significance in supporting a wide variety of plant and animal species, including many endangered and migratory birds. Then, adjacent to the Bolsa Chica Nature Preserve lies Bolsa Chica State Beach. It is a public beach and stretches across approximately three miles (4.8 kilometers) of coastline. Bolsa Chica State Beach is renowned for its sandy shores, rolling dunes, and picturesque views of the Pacific Ocean.
