"Isn't there anyone who knows what Christmas is all about?"

-Charlie Brown

Dear Friends,

Greetings and Happy Holidays to each of you from all of us at Polestar. In whatever way you choose to celebrate the Return of the Light, we hope this time is filled with all the beauty, connection and Joy life can offer. We are so, so grateful for each of you: for the community we are building, for the Divine Friendship we share and for the Great Spirit that animates us all! The many challenges of this past year have tested and strengthened us. More than ever, we are ready to embrace all the creative, joy-enlivening, community building activities of the new year. Please come and join the fun and thanks for being our Ohana!

In this newsletter, we will share Holiday inspiration, events, a major update on our city approval process (the Planning and Zoning Commission voted unanimously to approve our plan!) and a video recap of our past 2+ years here.

With love and blessings,

your friends at Polestar

This video celebrates two and a half years of communal efforts and prayers culminating in the unanimous approval of the city Planning and Zoning Commision.

Thank you all for your continued support, service, prayers, and friendship in realizing this milestone for Polestar Village. We are thrilled to keep growing with all of you.

Blessings and Joy

"It is Christmas every time you let God love others through you ... yes, it is Christmas every time you smile at your brother and offer him your hand."

Polestar Village Planning Update

As I hope you have heard by now, on Nov. 17th (at about 1 in the morning!) we received unanimous approval from the City of Fort Collins Planning and Zoning Commission for our Polestar Village plan. This is a huge milestone for us and we are so grateful for all the amazing contributions from so many of you to make it this far. We also found out two weeks later, that a group of our neighbors, concerned about traffic and other neighborhood impacts, has appealed the decision. We firmly believe, as many of our neighbors have already found, that Polestar will be an asset to the larger community on many levels. We hope this will be an opportunity to connect with more of our neighbors, understand their concerns, and work together to mitigate them. (read more...)

We are delighted to announce upcoming gatherings!

We look forward to community connection this holiday season.

Annual Christmas 8-hr Meditation

Saturday Dec 23rd, 8AM-4PM

This tradition, begun by Yogananda years ago, of spiritualizing the Christmas season by setting aside a full day for meditation and prayer, is now practiced by many thousands around the world. Even those who are unaccustomed to long meditations find they are carried along by the blessings of the season and the company of others also making the effort to meditate deeply.  The morning session includes several chanting breaks and the afternoon will include inspirational musical selections and readings from many traditions. This spiritual Christmas has become a touchstone for truth-seekers around the globe, and is often permanently transforming for those who participate. More details here; we hope you can join for some, if not all of this sacred day!

"Christ is the joy of meditation. It is his perception you feel in the deepest hours of silence. And this is my wish for you, that you may bring that Christ into your heart every day, every hour."
