Note: I apologize for the newsletter being so late. I will do better next month- Nancy Kelly Office Administrator

Message from Hazel Bowman, RScP
CSLP Practitioner Core Chair

Spring is in the air! On March 20, in the Northern Hemisphere, the sun crosses the celestial equator going north as we celebrate the Spring Equinox, centered around rebirth and growth. The dark months are now over and we’re moving into the warmth of the light. Nature is waking up and ready to make a fresh start. The same thing is happening within you. Your spirit is coming alive with hopeful, excited energy. Parts of you are being reborn and coming alive in ways they never have before.

Here at the Center we are full of excitement and activity with all the new energy around us! The next time you’re at the Center, take a look around! Every week our Front Office Administrator Nancy Kelly is creating something new for you to see – whether it be a wall hanging, a table centerpiece, or re-arranging various displays or furniture groupings for you to experience and enjoy.

We continue being blessed with our fabulous guest speakers! On March 6 Rev. Dr. Betty Campbell Henderson will delight us with her message “Hello, There Is No One Here Right Now, But If You’ll Leave Your Name …”, on March 13th I will have the fun talking about “To Be Or Not To Be: Is That Really A Question?”, on March 20, our Interim Minister Rev. Cath DePalma will discuss the importance of play in “So Happy Together”, and ending the month on March 27 our own Jon Haass RScP will share his message “Spring: Season For Spiritual Growth.”

Best yet, Rev. Cath will be presenting not one but TWO different community workshops – Saturday March 19 in the afternoon (time to be posted) and on Sunday March 20 following Sunday service.

There are so many Circles and Groups that you can join! Brand new is our Women’s Support & Empowerment Circle that is on the First and Third Thursdays of every month at 6:00 PM in Sibley Hall. It’s a circle for women seeking a supportive community to share and grow with while they transmute their hard times, heartache, loneliness, or anything else standing in the way, into something beautiful. Learn more by contacting Mona Nyree at 610-737-2698.

On Saturday March 13 from 1:00pm – 2:00pm experience an amazing Sound Meditation offered by Niki Shields. If you can’t make it, mark your calendar for the following months as Niki will be here the second Saturday of every month at the same time. Suggested Love Offering is $10-$30.

We always enjoy Satsang with Swami Sankarananda uplifting our vibrations that radiate Peace and Love. Come join us on Monday March 28 from 6:00pm – 7:15pm, and continuing on the fourth Monday of every month at the same time. Love Offerings Accepted in Deep Gratitude.

March is a quirky month with various unconventional special days and holidays to observe. One of my favorites is March 3 “What If Cats and Dogs Had Opposable Thumbs Day.” If you've never considered the question, that’s the day to do it. On a more traditional note, whether you're of Irish descent and truly celebrating the history of St. Patrick or you just enjoy green beer and corned beef and cabbage, I’m wishing you a happy St. Patrick’s Day!

Love and more love,
Hazel

“Abundance is mine. I cannot be deprived of my supply. The trees do not lack for leaves, nor do the flowers fail to bloom.” - Ernest Holmes
What an exciting time to be part of CSL Prescott. Our membership is growing. We are involved in exciting and inspiring classes. We have monthly events such as Sound Meditation every second Saturday and Satsung with Swami Sankarananda every 4th Monday evening. We have many Circles representing different interests. Our Practitioners are absolutely shining in their service to the center. And what a phenomenal line up of Speakers we’ve had!
The CSL Global Monthly Theme for March 2022 is Living Everyday Wonder-Play. Holmes says in The Holmes Papers; “God sings all songs, dances all dances, paints all pictures, creates all art, writes all books, plays every game.” I encourage you to come to the wonderful classes and events we are having around the Center. Join a Circle, volunteer. We need volunteers in Hospitality, the Bookstore and the Sound Booth. Come play and have fun.
Please continue to be mindful of the health of yourselves and the congregation. We continue to provide KN95 masks by the front door.
By now I hope you have met our Interim Minister, Rev Cath DePalma. We look forward to working with her to continue bringing the Congregation together as we search for a Permanent Senior Minister.
More to come on workshops to prepare us for choosing a Permanent Minister and the formation of a committee to search for a Senior Minister. The Board is anxious to hear from you and answer any questions.
Please remember the Board meetings are open for you to attend on the 4th Sunday of every month.
Joyful Blessings,
Chris Pearce

THE HEART CONNECTION
The Heart Connection is, again, up and running at CSL-Prescott. Members are Grace McManus, Sharon Tice, Jeri Arenson, Sudra Tolbert, Margaret Norton, DyAnn Brooks, Gena Bonacci, and Patricia Weiberg.

The team has been working with Nancy in the office and Chris Pearce of the Board to update our membership list. Each Heart Connection member has a team of folks with whom they will keep in touch, calling periodically and sending cards for special occasions. They will also be getting together for lunch periodically to enjoy time with their Heart Connection friends, discuss any needed updates, and write cards for their teams.

If anyone is interested in joining our Heart Connection or have any questions, please contact Grace McManus or Sharon Tice. Talk to them at the Center; also their contact information is on the Practitioner Board. The Heart Connection offers the opportunity to get to know more CSL-Prescott members and to enjoy time together. We look forward to reaching out to our members and to including anyone who would like to join us.

Practioners' Corner
SPIRITUAL MIND TREATMENT
Practitioner Corner – March 2022 – Jon C. Haass, RScP
Spring is just around the corner now and we have had a sunny, mild but too dry winter. The vernal equinox is 8:32am on the upcoming Sunday March 20th. This marks the official moment when the sun crosses into the northern hemisphere from our earthly perspective. I am hoping for daffodils and narcissus to be blooming in my garden from the 100 bulbs I planted in the fall. I am probably not alone in liking Spring. The season of new growth also prompts me to consider spring cleaning, specifically recycling paper. I seem to generate plenty of paper from writing, homework and projects. It feels freeing to release these to the recycle bin. Similarly there are old beliefs and habits that I am also working to let go. One may be familiar to you, being clear about my yes and no when it comes to time. Just like physical clutter, time clutter can creep up. How do I decide where to spend my time? I am practicing being and doing in alignment with my vision and purpose words. If an activity is not fitting in, then perhaps I can delegate to someone else or just forgo all together. In this way, like my garden, I can plant, nurture, prune and enjoy in a greater way the minutes, hours, days and years of my life. I am so looking forward to spring and my sabbatical that begins May 16th. I want to be on target with my time and not look back and say. Where did all my time off go? What are you ready to spring clean in your life?

Lots of love,
Erin & Diane
Love and Light is a group of people who enjoy celebrating the goodness that exists in and around us. We have used two books for our discussions over the last two years. One is FROM AGING TO SAGEING by Miller and Schachter-Shalomi and the other is COMFORTABLE WITH UNCERTAINTY by Pema Chodron. Our small group has been together for about two years finding inspiration and support for what is going on in our lives.

WHEN: First Monday of the Month
TIME: 1:30 pm
WHERE: CSLP in Sibley Hall
Originally, we were a Circle formed to bring together those individuals who were volunteering for candle lighting and greeting. However, you don't have to be a volunteer in those areas to join our group. Contact Kay Krizek at (818)486-1888 or just show up! You will be heartily welcomed!

We ALWAYS need volunteers to greet people at the door and to light candles during the service. Feel free to sign up on the table near the front door!

Kay Krizek
Please reach out for prayer, conversation and emotional support during this challenging time. We can only be there for you if you reach out and let us know what you need. Remember, we love you so much, and it's our pleasure to be there for you.
