Woodlake Village Parkway to be Repaved

Project begins June 9

The Woodlake Community Association has been notified by Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) that the main entrance to Woodlake from Hull Street and the entirety of the Woodlake Village Parkway ‘loop’ will be milled and prepped for repaving starting on or about Thursday June 9, 2022.

The project will include some areas near the neighborhood entrances that are on the ‘loop’ and main road. There will be signage posted and flaggers to close lanes and direct traffic flow through the work zones and the community.

The actual paving work will commence around Monday, June 13. This work is scheduled to take approximately 3 weeks, weather permitting, so please plan accordingly for intermittent traffic delays throughout the community as the work progresses.

The contractors will also be using the parking lots at Clover Hill Elementary and part of the Woodlake Commons parking areas to stage equipment and materials, so residents should also use caution when utilizing these areas.

Swim & Racquet Center (SRC) Pool Project

Upper Entrance and Portion of Trail to be Closed Until

the Project is Complete

We have received the go-ahead to officially begin demolition of the existing pool at the SRC. To get things started, fencing will be placed around the construction site. Once the fencing goes up, the trail that goes from the Clubhouse entrance down the hill to the tunnel at the Parkway will not be accessible. Please note this for your walking route and access to the tennis court complex.  Access to the Clubhouse bathrooms will remain available until later in the project.
