Message of the Moment

Reaffirmation

This year we have returned to the foundations of our faith in worship and fellowship. We are calling to mind what we believe and why it is important to us. We are also finding joy as our community re-gathers and experiences the vibrancy of living into our faith at St. James.

Returning to corporate worship, some may feel as if they are waking up after a long hibernation. Together we are being fed, and in doing this we have discovered how hungry we have been for this Christian community. As we are renewed on our journey of faith, we may wish to do something as an outward sign of what we are experiencing inwardly. To that end, you are invited to come forward for a prayer of reaffirmation from the bishop next Sunday. She will confirm, receive, and reaffirm members of our parish at the 10:45 a.m. service November 20. A reception will follow in the Guild Hall.

Yours in Christ, Mother Dawn+

First Things First

Breakfast Sunday is this Sunday, November 13. Join us between services (9:30-10:45am) as we share in a meal together. If you are able, please bring your favorite breakfast dish to share!

Newsletter articles for the winter edition (Advent, Christmas, Epiphany) of The Seasons Newsletter are due on Tuesday, November 15th. This is shorter notice than usual, but we would like to get them in the mail before Advent begins on November 27. With the Thanksgiving holiday, we don’t have much time! Please send your articles to Krystal in the office.
