The interactive map shows the locations that our 443 current CASA volunteers are from! We celebrated them during National Volunteer Week and continue to celebrate their dedication and hard work every week for  their outstanding advocacy for the abused and neglected children in our community!
"Seeing volunteers and staff take on a burden no one forced them to do while they help to absorb the shock of the system for the children on their cases leaves me humbled. I come back because the work is worth it, the relationships are worth it, and above all, the children and families are worth it." There are constant conversations around high blood pressure, diabetes, heart attacks, and other illnesses. In fact, there are more than a billion people who have high blood pressure. But did you know there are almost a billion people who live with mental illness too? Why aren’t we hearing more about these individuals? Read more.
"It’s the little things --- the smiles and hugs from the children, a thank you from a bio or foster parent or the sense of accomplishment when you solve a problem. I joined CASA because I wanted to be a bright light in a child’s life and what I underestimated was how much it would make a difference in my life." Read more about Sara
"There is no greater sound than the laughter of children. Want to change the world? Help a child laugh. It’s infectious. You will be changed. Yes, there will be times of difficulty, however the rewards are far, far, greater. Every minute impacts not only the child for whom you’re advocating, but also the community as a whole." Malik entered foster care in 2013, moving from home to home without stability since he was six years old. When Brenda met Malik as a CASA volunteer, she made a promise to be the constant presence in Malik’s life that he deserved. She’s been by his side for half a decade.

Like Brenda, you care about kids like Malik. You are committed to ensuring all kids have access to a loving, permanent home.

Brenda’s commitment to Malik meant that she continued to advocate for him even when she had to relocate out of state during the pandemic. She never gave up hope that Malik would find a place to call home.
Because of your generosity, Malik met Roderick, a school bus driver and single dad who adopted Malik last month.

And because of your support, Malik celebrated the big day with his new “GG” Brenda who flew in to be with Malik in person for the adoption hearing.
You have already made a lasting impact on Malik’s future, and there are more children in care who need you. We want to say thank you—for every kid’s life you have already impacted with your advocacy, and every child’s life you continue to transform.

You choose to champion kids like Malik. We can’t do it without you.
"From Child Advocacy Specialist Natalie Alfandre: "Andrini Hendartono is on two cases right now. She took her first case in June 2021 and has been working with that child every month since. In February, she reached out wanting to do more. She ended up taking on a second case. She has done a great job supporting their families and helping them take advantage of every resource available. She has gotten one child involved in a little league team through scholarships and the other child just started piano lessons through Destiny Studio. Andrini has also done a great job of keeping the families’ culture in mind. She works full-time and travels with her husband, but still makes CASA a priority!"
April was National Child Abuse Prevention Month, and CASA of Tarrant County has continued to raise awareness of the need for more dedicated members of the community to step up and become CASA volunteers.

In honor of Child Abuse Prevention Month 2022, CASA of Tarrant County had a pinwheel installation at Levitt Pavilion in Arlington, TX, Tarrant County College Trinity River Campus and Southlake Town Square

Each pinwheel represented a child served by CASA last year! Read the feature on the Arlington TX website.
