Reflections and Hope for the New Year

Communities Supporting Schools continues to serve students, even during challenging times! The mission of Communities Supporting Schools of Wayne County is to provide opportunities for students to stay in school, graduate, and be successful in life. Our ultimate goal is to help students achieve as support services are provided to them through all of our programs. Whether we are serving students through the schools or through our Restorative Justice programs, we strive to help our students.

We recently hosted our Annual Community Partner meeting at Lane Tree. We are thankful to have so many community partners who attended this event. We are thankful to have the opportunity to share our passion for the work that we do and to provide the opportunity for our donors and volunteers to learn more about what we do- every day- to improve the lives of our youth here in Wayne County. This community has graciously provided support so that CSS of Wayne could expand. Currently serving in ten schools and operating three Restorative Justice programs, we know that there is more that we need to do as we look into the future. This work is truly an “investment” as we build relationships and provide programming for our youth.

CSS continues to improve its work, and is currently going through a strategic planning process with the Institute for Emerging Issues at North Carolina State University. This board of directors is dedicated to strengthening programming and providing quality services.

We appreciate the support that this community has provided throughout another school year! The impact that our stakeholders have on CSS of Wayne enables this agency to grow and serve! We look forward to a healthy and safe 2023.
