Help us support World Central Kitchen
World Central Kitchen (WCK) is a team of food first responders, who provide meals to those affected by natural disasters, man-made crisis, and humanitarian emergencies around the world.

We accept donations at the reception desks at all RG locations ...also, a portion of all RG Merchandise sales (T-shirts, totes, pens, towels, blue bottles, etc..) will benefit WCK as well.
Thanks to the generosity of our clients, staff, landlord, and to all those who donated, this month we were able to send another $500 to WCK, bringing our total donations to $6500.

Oh beautiful May, let's get going!! Tired of wind, tired of rain, need more sun, soft breezes, flowers blooming and outdoor activities. It wasn't a frigid winter or a stormy snowy one, but it was long and annoying. I am a bit prejudiced as I now look forward to the summer so much these days. Just getting outside and working in the garden, biking and walking the dog more.
There is a very interesting segment on Anderson Cooper's new show: The Whole Story. It is an episode with Bill Weir called "How to Unscrew a Planet" which points out that we are "in deep" in regards to the increasing pollution of our home planet and the consequences of the lack of prudent and serious action needed now to keep it livable and viable. However there are some positive signs of advances in our efforts. In this show a vast scope of information is offered showing the efforts of inspired folks in many fields that have the potential to affect our success and failure to keep our planet viable and hospitable for us for many more eons. The Earth was here before us and will be here after us so it is vital to keep it a place where we can flourish and not a place where we become extinct.
We saw Guardians of the Galaxy, Vol. 3 on May the 4th, and we all really enjoyed the scary, creative, and funny exploits of these familiar and beloved characters. We were pleasantly surprised as this Marvel saga has grown into a fun, fast moving, entertaining tale. Highly recommended!
I have started my personal training sessions and my new trainer, Kait, is really good at her job. She directs me to do movements and stretches that are really productive and a bit scary at the same time. We are also working on a diet plan and I have started to adjust my habits. It is a one-on-one session two times a week and it is great to be the student instead of the teacher.
Wishing all women a Happy Mother's Day! We came from mothers, we may be mothers, we have friends who are mothers and we may have daughters who are or will be mothers. A big group of powerful women with a big job. Mother's Day is bittersweet for me as I lost my mother on Mother's Day many years ago when I was in my late 20s. Being an only child it was a difficult and solitary loss. I became a stepmom many years ago to Butch's son Shayne, and then in 1999 we adopted Jeannie. So at 52 I became a full time Mom; whoa what a job! (I really admire my daughter-in-law, Heather, who is raising 4 kids in these very challenging times.)
Enjoy the Spring, eat balanced meals, drink plenty of water, exercise everyday, get adequate sleep and take time to relax or meditate to lower stress levels.
Better and better, Patricia

Hi everyone!
I'm just a couple of weeks away from finishing my last spring semester in college. Then onto a busy June! I'll be graduating in December 2023.
During the first weekend of June, I'll be going to my brother Damien's baby shower in Albany. His girlfriend is due in August. They're having a boy! I'm so excited for them and looking forward to going to the baby shower.
A little while after that trip, we'll be going to London for about a week. I'm going to see Arctic Monkeys at the Emirates Stadium for the final night of their 3-night run. They're one of my favorite bands; I've seen them a couple times, but have wanted to see them in their home country for a long time.
In the past week I went to two concerts. The first one was Joywave and the second was Saint Motel. I've seen both of these bands before but it's been a few years. They released some new music and I was excited to see them live. Joywave's tour was called "Express Wash", so they had a rear bumper of a car on stage, and they were dressed up in car-wash uniforms. They put on such a cool performance and I hope to see them again soon. Saint Motel's tour was called the "Awards Show" tour. They allowed the fans to vote on some of the songs they put on their setlist. They set it up like an actual awards show and the band members used envelopes to announce the winners of the songs. The concert was live-streamed and one of the media crew members that was with the band interviewed me after the show. The band was great (as always) and I'm always happy to see them. This past week, Lucky Chops (the jazz group) played a pop-up set in the Herold Square subway station. It was announced that day, so I ran over from RG Studios to catch the show. They are one of my favorite jazz/rock groups!! On Thursday May 4th our family went to see Guardians of the Galaxy, Vol. 3. It was one of the best Marvel movies I have seen. Very entertaining!
Until next month, Jeannie
