Happy New Year, everyone!
I hope you had a wonderful Christmas and fun filled new years eve. Russ and I had a busy christmas with our kids and their families, starting on Christmas eve and ending on boxing day. By December 27th we were wiped out and spent the day sleeping and watching movies. It is always a great time when we get together.
I find myself on New Years Eve looking back on the year and thinking about the loved ones that we had lost, and looking forward to the new adventures in the next year.
This winter I am so looking forward to spending time with my sewing machine! We have decided that we are not going anywhere until my first tour. I really need to sew, and sew and sew. My goals this winter are to learn how to thread paint and take a serious class in Landscape quilts.
So I have registered for a thread painting class with Nancy Prince. It is on Zoom and she will answer any questions by email. I think Zoom is the best thing that came out of covid. I can now take classes and not leave my sewing room! It is perfect!
Once I return home from Italy, we will be going north for the summer and I will work from there until fall. Fishing will be my activity for the day as long as it is not raining.
I am looking forward to my upcoming tours that I have planned as well. I love meeting new quilters and seeing repeating clients. I have learnt so many tecniques over the years.
I hope everyone has a wonderful 2024!
