IMPORTANT NEXT STEPS FOR PARADE PARTICIPANTS!

Welcome to the 55th Annual Holiday Parade, presented by the County and City of Schenectady and sponsored by MVP Healthcare. We can't wait to see what your creative energy and holiday spirit will bring to the parade.


We have received your parade entry application.

Do you still need to pay? Mail a check made payable to Schenectady County. Our address is Schenectady County Office Building, Special Events 6th Floor, 620 State Street, Schenectady, NY 12305.

Now that you're signed up for the parade, you must complete the second part of the application, the Parade Entry Detail Supplemental. This is a very important part of the application and provides our parade staff and volunteers with the information we need to ensure a successful parade and a positive experience for your participants.

The form also requests information about your entry and the group behind the float. The information you provide will be used in the script at both grandstands and help Schenectady County showcase your business or organization to over 15,000 people.

How Do I Complete the Parade Entry Detail Supplemental?



  • Check your email. You should receive a resubmit notification from the SDL Portal (no-reply@sdlportal.com). If you don't receive the email, check your SPAM folder.
  • Click the Resubmission Link and log in to your SDL Portal Account using your email and password.
  • Check Step 2 and complete the form. Answer all questions and give careful attention to the questions about group, business, or organization. This information is used to showcase your entry at the two grandstand areas.
  • Click submit.

An Important Note for Parade Participants


In the upcoming weeks, you will receive all the necessary information for parade day via email, including arrival times, road closures, parade lineup, and entry restrictions. To ensure we can focus our time on making this event a success, we kindly ask that you refrain from reaching out to the Special Events Team with individual questions. All the details you need will be available in the email and the parade participant guide on our website. Thank you for your understanding and patience!
