Residential Organics Carts Being Delivered for State mandated program, effective January 2024

Using your green cart for organics recycling is good for the earth. Starting January 1, 2024, participating in the green cart program to compost organic food scraps and yard trimmings is also becoming State mandated.

Marin Sanitary will soon be delivering organics service carts to the remaining 27 single family homes that don’t currently use a green cart. This additional cart will not cost residents anything as it is already a part of their bundled service. This will ensure that every resident can keep their organic waste out of the landfill.
