Caring Palms has several classes coming up. The Reiki classes are available for anyone looking to learn this method of energy healing with continuing education available for Florida massage therapists. Then there is the Advanced Techniques and Body Mechanics for massage therapist (or anyone that uses massage as part of what they do). Continuing education is also available for this workshop.

Advanced Techniques is scheduled for July 28^th and 29^th and are worth 12 live continuing education hours.

Reiki 1 is scheduled for August 19^th, and Reiki 2 is scheduled for August 26^th. Those two classes are worth 12 live continuing educations hours.

Each class requires a minimum of 4 students to take place. The cutoff date for the Advanced Techniques workshop is July 20^th. If there are not enough students by that date, the workshop will be cancelled. The cutoff dates for the Reiki classes are two days before the class dates.

Brian went to Vero Beach the weekend of the 15^th to take the Trance workshop by Eamonn Downey. He was one of a handpicked group that has been taking Eamonn’s classes for a number of years now. The advanced practitioners were taken beyond what they were used to, where they used to operate from. Each was taught how to go deeper into the state and move aside for better messages and greater amounts and higher frequencies of energy to go through. A lot of Trance Healing was done, along with Trance Speaking. There was even some Soul Reading and Mediumship done.

Brian found it an enlightening and fun experience.

As the previous article mentioned, I was involved in an advanced workshop for Trance (advanced mediumship). Eamonn started out by taking us through some exercises to get us aligned to the new state of being. This was done by a download of information from spirit that appears subconsciously. I was surprised at the amount of energy I was able to channel when I got to work in my first group. Admittedly, I tend to tense up when I start passing high energies through me, and have been working on that. Here I found a new way to ‘get out of the way’ and was amazed at how much energy poured out of my hands.

At one point, Eamonn assigned us to groups of two. He asked who would go first, and the other person pointed at me before I could say anything. So I worked first at speaking and healing. Later, he had various people come up and do various things like trance, or soul reading, mediumship. These were done in groups of two or three.

For the last mediumship demonstration, Eamonn called my name and two others, then looks at me and says, “And Brian, I heard you say you wanted to be lead medium.” Even though I had not said anything. (The lead medium is the one that connects to the spirit, starts out with some basic information, then passes it to the others up there to bring in more information.) Yes, I was getting picked on, but that is what made it fun. As it was, I connected to Eamonn’s grandmother, and between the three of us we connected through past experiences, and gave messages as well as telling where she is now.

It was an enjoyable workshop with old friends and a great teacher.

During the Trance workshop, Eamonn himself did a trance, and let us hear from one of his spirit guides that wanted to address us.

The message was clear… darkness is growing. Lightworkers and positive thinkers are needed to push back, and spread the light. They wanted this group of advanced lightworkers to start doubling our efforts to bring more light into all situations.

We exist in a climate of fear and hate. This has been going on for a while now, and it has spread further. We now have book bannings and the war on woke. (Woke: to be socially/societally aware, empathic / empathetic… basically to see what is going on and feel for those that it is happening to.) We are becoming aware that people are offended by basically everything, and are changing our language so as not to offend. But it simply isn’t possible.

Being offended or uncomfortable is an opportunity for learning, and this is what we need to do, learn. We need to shine light on these areas, and point out things that can be learned, to bring understanding to situations. This is how we grow as a society, as a people, as a person.

All it takes is positive thought (yes, that too is light). Sure, it would be good if you could send healing energy where it is needed (and if you are an energy worker, you should be doing this), but simply being positive, and visualizing a better word will help. If we believe, we can achieve anything.

Spirit keeps pushing me to pass this on. We wrote a song based on Star Wars many years ago called Luke’s Story, and set it to the song Stand By Me. The verse below is dark, but it says more than the words that it is written with.

Now the Knights are all gone, and the future looks dark,

and the death-star is the only thing I see,

No I won’t be afraid, I’ll control my fear,

just as long as the Force, is with me.

If you really look at it, it says that even when fear abounds, and the future looks darkest, there is still hope. There is still love, and care, and willingness to stand up and be counted for the light. The Force will be with me. Spirit has our backs. This is not true for just energy workers. It is true for everyone. Just believe, believe that tomorrow can be better than today, that this next hour will be better than the last, that we can change things simply by believing that they can be changed.

And that one iota of belief may not seem like a lot, but they combine, they add up, they get bigger. One candle can produce enough light to stave off the darkness. But by sharing this candle, and lighting others, we can create a fire. Eventually, darkness will not be able to survive.

Be that change. Believe, actively. If you can, learn some form of energy work. Visualize. But most importantly, make a difference.

The following is a list of currently scheduled classes. This class is a two-day class worth 12 CE hours for massage therapists. Each class (unless otherwise marked) currently has a status of 'Scheduled'. This means that a date has been set, but no one has signed up for it yet. Once a deposit has been received for a class, the status will be 'Confirmed'. The schedule is as follows:

Maximize your results with less effort. Utilize the science of martial arts and apply it to massage. Advanced Body Mechanics and Techniques for Massage Therapists, is designed to reconnect the massage therapist with proper body mechanics and techniques while putting a new twist on things and showing how to get more pressure with little effort. While it does go over some basics, it takes body mechanics to a new level where every move involves the use of the therapist's entire body so they can work without hurting themselves. The class being part lecture, part hands-on practice takes positions, centering, and the proper use of body strength from Japanese martial arts and applies them to the art of massage therapy. It also shows how to focus one's energies to increase their strength with simple exercises meant to teach the student how to 'think' beyond where they are working so they can get deeper into the client and to channel their energies to the point of thought. The student will learn how to focus their energies and use their body to do deep work and not get hurt. This class will help anyone to work deeply with less effort no matter if one is 90 pounds or 250 pounds. This class is for both the seasoned therapist and the new therapist. It will show moves everyone does, but in a new light as well as moves many people may not have seen before. The idea is not to dictate how to practice, but to show better body mechanics which the therapist can adapt to what they do. This is true whether they adapt all of it or just part of it.
