Independence Day Celebration Was A Success!
After two long years without being able to celebrate our annual Independence Day due to COVID, Palmetto Bay hosted this year's 4th of July celebration this past Monday and it was a smash! Everyone had lots of fun and enjoyed the festivities until the end with our amazing fireworks show.

THANK YOU to all residents who came out to celebrate our Independence Day. Not only were we celebrating America's birthday, but we were also celebrating the great community of Palmetto Bay, and our 20th Anniversary.

A BIG THANK YOU to County Mayor Cava, County Commissioner Cohen Higgins, School Board Member Santos, Cutler Bay Mayor Meerbott and Councilwoman Lord for your support! We are proud that you were part of our celebration. A HUGE THANK YOU to our event sponsors who make this event possible and a total success every year! Thank you Mayor & Council for supporting community events, and to our Parks & Rec. staff and Policing Unit for making it all happen safely!
News You Can Use
Palmetto Bay's Got "A" Schools
Palmetto Bay's Got "A" Schools
The Florida Department of Education released its Preliminary 2021-2022 School Performance Grades for all schools, and Miami-Dade County Public Schools is an "A" rated district again!

So with school grades out, what did our Palmetto Bay schools get? You know what we always say, we've got some of the BEST schools and guess what? Palmetto Bay schools received an A grade for the 2021-22 school year. Congratulations to all the teachers, staff, students and parents for continuing to put education first.

One Year Later
This July 11th marks the first anniversary of the civic uprising that took place in cities throughout the world against the Communist dictatorship in Cuba.

Last year, our Mayor & Council took a stance in support of the Cuban protestors demanding freedom and basic human rights by adopting Resolution No. 2021-74 "expressing Palmetto Bay's support for the heroic resistance efforts against the Cuban regime."

On Monday, July 11, 2022, marking the one year anniversary, Palmetto Bay will fly the Cuban flag at half-mast in recognition of the anniversary, but more importantly, to draw attention to the terrible human rights situation that continues to plague the nearby island.
Insure Your Property
Flooding is not covered by a standard homeowner’s insurance policy. The Village of Palmetto Bay participates in the National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP) which makes federally backed flood insurance available for all structures in the Village regardless of whether or not they are located within a SFHA. Coverage is available for the building itself as well as its contents.

Renters are highly encouraged to purchase flood insurance for their contents. Note that there is a 30-day waiting period before coverage goes into effect. Contact your local insurance agency for more information.
