The Westshore Alliance wants you to be FOR the Community Investment Tax renewal

We want you to vote FOR the Hillsborough Community Investment Tax (CIT) on your 2024 ballot. The 15-year renewal of the CIT will maintain the Hillsborough sales tax rate until 2041, and provide much needed funding for transportation, public safety, and local projects. More than 40% of the funding ($1.5 billion) is planned for transportation projects in Hillsborough County and the Cities of Tampa, Plant City, and Temple Terrace. Public safety projects are set to receive 23% of funds ($880 million), including new fire stations, law enforcement facilities, and vehicles. Additional funding is planned for stormwater improvements and new schools.

CAE Defense & Security Opens New Headquarters

An official ribbon-cutting welcomed industry leaders, government officials and guests to the modern facility, which will serve as the headquarters to the U.S. Division of CAE Defense & Security (CAE USA). In addition to the headquarters building, the 326,000-square-foot campus boasts a 16-bay manufacturing facility for simulation and product development and a training building that delivers flight simulation and technical training.
