CULTURAL COMPETENCY CONTINUING EDUCATION

The link in the below flyer leads to Oregon Health Authority approved courses: Cross-Cultural Care in Mental Health & Depression and Working with Specific Populations: Hispanic/Latino. Participating in cultural competency continuing education is a way to gain a better understanding of Oregon's socially and culturally diverse communities and to foster a commitment to addressing health care inequities. CME/CEU is available and free for these courses.

OHA - INTERPRETER SERVICES PROGRAM

The Oregon legislature changed the requirements for health care interpreting services in Oregon. OHA has updated its rules to reflect the new law. These final rules go into effect on July 1, 2022 

Healthcare Interpreter Scholarship Information:

• This scholarship pays for the course fees and certification costs
• Open to bilingual clinic/ community organization staff who are currently acting as healthcare interpreters who would like to become certified.

PROVIDER PORTAL UPDATE

We are please to announce that Linefinder is now available by accessing the Advanced Health Provider Portal. Linefinder is the internal database we use to determine if codes are above or below the line and if they pair with CPT codes. PHARMACY FORMULARY UPDATES

• Added Generic Symbicort to formulary
• Updated Adult Stimulant criteria (now includes both IR and ER formulations, PA still required)
• Added adapalene 0.1% and clindamycin 1% solution (PA required)
• Added edit to allow benzoyl peroxide 5%, 7.5% or 10% to process if there is a claim for doxycycline 100mg capsules
• Added isotretinoin to formulary (PA required)

Will be looking at starting to limit albuterol HFA inhalers to 1 inhaler per 30 days. Please transition members to a maintenance inhaler if they are needing more than a couple inhalers per year. Formulary inhalers include Flovent Diskus, Qvar, Alvesco, Airduo, Advair Diskus, Symbicort, and Incruse.

DME SUPPLIES UPDATE

Advanced Health is removing the prior authorization requirement for diabetic testing supplies and incontinence supplies effective August 1, 2022
