Dear Daniel,

We're Up and Running!

Last month we wrote about the solar system installation, which went very well. We did have to put a little caveat on the report, though. The inverter, which converts DC power to household AC power, was not functioning. We're very happy to report now that the replacement part arrived in Haiti, and the lights are on! The crew in Haiti was able to install the part and we did not have to make another trip from the U.S. to install it.

Once again, we are very grateful for your prayers, financial support, and encouragement for this very important project. We can close the books on this one. And now, here's the latest on the next big thing...

X-Ray System Update

If you have been following our newsletters, you know we are raising funds for a new X-ray system for Haiti. Last month, a very generous donor gave us a boost, so as of this writing, we are at $31,750 toward our goal of $55,000. That's about 58%, so we are more than half way to our goal! Every gift matters, and they all add up. We need only $23,250 to provide this life-saving service to our friends in Haiti. Just think, all we need is 100 people to give $232.50 each. Is it possible you could be one of them? Just asking! All kidding aside, we want you to know that we appreciate every dollar that has been given and every prayer that has been lifted. Step by step, we're getting there!
