(Dublin, Calif., July 12, 2022) —The Chabot-Las Positas Community College District’s governing board passed a resolution at their June 28 meeting to order an election to be held on November 8, 2022. The district is seeking to elect four board members to its governing board.
With the approval of the resolution, the board requests and consents to the consolidation of this election with other scheduled elections held in whole or in part within the District’s service area. The approved resolution will serve as official notification to the Alameda County Superintendent of Schools, the Alameda County Registrar of Voters, and the Contra Costa County Registrar of Voters.
The purpose of the election is to elect three trustees for a full term to fill the offices currently held by Linda Granger (Area 2), Harris Mojadedi (Area 3), and Hal Gin (Area 6). Trustee Mojadedi was appointed to the board in February 2022; he replaced Genevieve Randolph, who resigned her seat after relocating out of the area she represented.
Additionally, the election will fill the seat of trustee Edralin J. Maduli, who recently passed. The elected candidate will serve out the remainder of Maduli's elected term.
