JA EduSpark! - July 19th & 20th, 2022
We are thrilled for our upcoming Summer Industry Tours at WorkOne/EmployIndy & American Senior Communities.

The JA EduSpark Industry Tour is way to inform educators about careers in-demand and provide them with a first-hand look into local companies so they can share their experiences with students and help connect academics to the real world of work. We have held a few of these Industry Tours at Roche, Salesforce, Republic Airways/LIFT Academy and IKORCC and virtually at Ed Martin Automotive, Stoops Freightliner, Paul Mitchell the School and at Victory Field. They were all very well attended/received (filling up to capacity and in some cases with a waiting list).

If your company is interested in hosting an event like this in the fall/winter, we would LOVE to chat with you! Please reach out to Cindy Kicinski at cindyk@jaindy.org for more information.
The Big Picture
Junior Achievement of Central Indiana is determined to foster financial literacy in all of our area youth. JA JobSpark, is one of many initiatives in a continuum of programs offered in Pre-K through 12th grade.

Junior Achievement educates young people in the areas of career explorationwork readinessentrepreneurshipfinancial literacy and philanthropy and inspires them to explore and create opportunities, make good decisions, and believe in their potential. There are many unique programs available, including two capstone experiences: JA BizTown for 5th graders and JA JobSpark for 8th graders.

Volunteers from area businesses deliver prepared curriculum to students in their classrooms during a JA Day or a weekly JA Program. The curriculum meets educational standards and is engaging at an age-appropriate level. Many of our volunteers remember when a JA volunteer came to their classroom, inspiring them to give back as a JA volunteer! If you are interested in volunteering for some of our other Junior Achievement programs next school year, feel free to contact Sally Mann, Senior Program Manager, to learn more!
Thank you for helping our students ignite the spark!
Why JA? Because helping kids make the connection between what they learn in the classroom and future success is what we do.
