Regional Leadership Conference

On October 23, our president Marcos Wanless attended the Regional Leadership Conference, an event designed to strengthen leadership skills and foster collaboration between leaders from various regions.


This conference brings together professionals, executives and leaders from various sectors to share experiences, create a space to foster collaboration and problem solving among attendees, and develop key competencies that can be applied in their own organizations and communities.


Our president shared with the Conference attendees key points about the development and implementation of new strategies in the regional market to obtain efficient growth today.

Open Mic Event: Make a Literary Calavera

We invite you to be part of our next Open Mic Event!


When? October 30, from 6:00 to 8 P.M.

Where? Hugo House,1634 11th Ave, Seattle, WA 98122

How to register? People interested in attending can pre-register by email; mic@seattlelatino.org


How does it work?

In this edition we invite you to participate with a literary skull on the topic that excites you most. If you don't want to participe with a literary calavera, you can read poetry, a piece of literature, sing a song, etc…The time limit is eight minutes and it will be indicated by one of our volunteers.


Additional:

We invite all participants to bring food to share. The idea of ​​this event is to unite the community through sharing, food, art and literature.

Webinar: Workers' compensation requirements

*This Webinar will only be taught in Spanish*

This webinar will provide you with all the information about workers' compensation, a benefit provided by the Labor & Industries (L&I) agency of the State for workers who suffer injuries or illnesses related to their employment. You will learn about:


  • Basic requirements to access these benefits, including a valid employment relationship and how to report an injury or illness.
  • Deadlines for filing a claim with L&I.
  • Coverage for medical care and necessary procedures.
  • How wage-loss benefits work in cases of temporary or permanent disability.
