Former State Superintendent of Schools Nancy Grasmick helped us see that our program “completes early childhood education” by stretching to include nine-year-olds, and she caught our enthusiasm ...

Lunch Bunch

Lunch Bunch has had a spring in our step this month. We have been making egg and flower themed crafts such as cherry trees, egg shakers and necklaces. We have been helping to clean up the playground and lunch areas after we eat each day. We have been using Redeemers beautiful campus to “Go On a Bear Hunt” and play hide and seek. And we have been discussing how to take care of our gardens by not trampling the flowers and by pulling out weeds. Next month we have plans to continue using all of the beautiful spaces at Redeemer to play, learn and explore. Please remember to pack different layers for your children as the weather has been changing by 30 degrees on some days while we are at school. We hope everyone is enjoying this beautiful springtime!

Program Highlights

It was wonderful to gather today as a community to support Johns Hopkins Pediatric Oncology for our annual Pedal for Pediatrics fund raiser! Thank you to the many volunteers and contributors. Your support with this event is so important, and it was an incredible morning. We also enjoyed celebrating Earth Week and the many ways that each of us can make a difference - and a very special thank you to Ashley Decker for her help with our gardens. We are excited to watch the lettuces, herbs, and flowers grow! Our first graders have worked hard on researching and writing animal reports. The younger students loved spending time with the first grade, reading and learning more about each animal. Finally, on Wednesday our students showered Mrs. Poe with cards, love and smiles as we celebrated Administrative Professional Day. We are so lucky to have Mrs. Poe!
