President's Message
Dear Friends,

Summer is here and for many of us that means the beginning of a new fiscal year. It is a time for wrapping up campaigns and starting new ones, hosting board and team retreats, drafting strategic plans, and evaluating staffing needs to grow your organization’s mission.

As we work on ways to advance the work in our communities, your AFP Board offers you opportunities to network and learn with one another, which is so critical to ensuring the future success of philanthropy in our sector.

On August 12 our educational programming resumes with our AFP Emerging Leaders hosting an expert panel discussion covering how to prepare and thrive in a leadership role. Then, on August 24 we’ll continue the conversation with our regular monthly chapter meeting that will take your skills and help give you tools and resources to refine them so that you excel even further in your career.

Yours in fundraising,

August Luncheon Meeting
"I've Been Promoted, Now What?"

Wednesday, August 24, 2022
  • 11:30 AM Networking
  • 12-1 PM Luncheon Program

People are promoted for performing at a high level in their organization, contributing to the mission and visions, and exceeding the expectations of their leadership team and stakeholders. However, what got you to the promotion may not be the thing that sustains or propels you in the new role. You now need to employ new knowledge, skills, and abilities to excel in your new role with new responsibilities and accountabilities. This session will give you the tools and insight you need to step into your new role with the confidence you need to be successful.
WE ARE IN-PERSON AND VIRTUAL FOR AUGUST at the Dallas Holocaust and Human Rights Museum. Members and non-members are welcome. Discounted rates for emerging professionals age 30 and under available.
