UBTS Update: April 4, 2022

UBTS President Slavik Pyzh's message (below) about the genocide in Ukraine.

Today's video from UBTS is distressing to watch but essential to understand. It shows the stark reality of the suffering in Ukraine. When Russian troops retreated from Bucha, the world was finally able to see the indiscriminate killing of civilian men, women, and children that is taking place in many parts of Ukraine. There is no way to measure the pain and trauma these revelations have caused to Ukrainians.

UPF has helped UBTS meet the immediate physical needs of refugees since the war began. We had already launched a trauma counseling capability and today are pledging to significantly expand that assistance for the emotional needs we are seeing now and expecting in the future.

We have recruited skilled Christian counselors to support the UBTS staff and refugees in Ukraine, Poland, and surrounding countries. These professionals include specialists in counseling women and children and will travel to Ukraine and surrounding countries on an ongoing basis. Our intention is to send these counseling experts where they are most needed and not be limited by the cost of these efforts. We will support this team through gifts to a new Trauma Counseling Fund we have established.

If you would like to help us address this need,
please use one of the giving options below.

Thank you for caring so deeply about the people of Ukraine.

"The time will come when we will have to let the whole idea of forgiveness sink into our minds ... but now we are not in that period."

Who We Are
The Ukraine Partnership Foundation (UPF) exists to help raise up dynamic Christian leaders in Ukraine, primarily by supporting the mission and work of the Ukrainian Baptist Theological Seminary (UBTS). UPF is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit charitable organization. All contributions are tax deductible in full as allowed by law.
Ukrainian Baptist Theological Seminary (UBTS) was founded in 2000 to train and develop Ukrainian church leaders who are committed to growing churches and transforming their communities. In this moment of crisis, UBTS is a trusted partner, capable of providing humanitarian relief to the people of Ukraine. It does this by leveraging a network of students and graduates throughout Ukraine who are committed to serving Christ by serving others.
