The Delaware Winter Freight Meeting aims to share information on significant freight and goods movement trends and encourage networking and partnership development.

Delaware secures $14.3M to expand overnight, fast and ultra-fast charging stations along I-95 corridor

As reported by WHYY, "Delaware will upgrade its electric vehicle charging infrastructure along Interstate 95, specifically for electric trucks, after getting $14.3 million in federal funding. State leaders who gathered at the Biden Welcome Center rest stop near Newark called it a critical step toward transforming the state’s transportation system and reducing its environmental impact."

Delaware to transition some state agency cars to EVs

As reported by Delaware Business Times, "Delaware is continuing to push ahead with its transition from gas-powered vehicles to electric vehicles, starting with requiring that certain passenger vehicles owned by the state must be zero emission by 2040."

DART service changes will go into effect November 17, 2024

As reported by DelawareLive, "Changes to DART’s Statewide Bus Service will become effective Sunday, November 17, 2024. The new route schedules will be available online at DartFirstState.com by mid-November, and printed pocket schedules will also be available by mid-November."

US Street Design Manual Inches Toward Safer Roads

As reported by Planetizen, "The guiding document for U.S. road design is starting to recognize the needs of people walking and biking, but safe streets advocates say more significant changes are needed to reduce the high number of pedestrian deaths and improve connectivity for all road users."

‘Road safety crisis’ requires US DOT action: TRB report

As reported by SMARTCITIESDIVE, "A study published by the Transportation Research Board of the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine urges the U.S. Department of Transportation to streamline road safety guidance for states and municipalities and establish a national road safety research center."
