Citizens who wish to provide public comment are invited to attend public meetings or can provide comment by dialing in by phone at the published time. To provide dial-in comment, call toll-free 888-475-4499 or 877-853-5257 and enter the Meeting ID 899 4188 8251 and passcode #. Callers will be provided further instruction during the meeting on how to indicate you wish to speak.

Registration for basketball and wrestling is now open to Calvert County residents through programs offered by the Calvert County Department of Parks & Recreation!


Rookie, youth and adult basketball and youth wrestling are being offered. Pricing, age ranges and registration information can be found in our Winter Activity Guide.

The Calvert County Department of Economic Development will launch a Calvert County Small Business Assistance Grant Fund to provide financial assistance that will help local small business owners grow and strengthen their existing businesses.


Competitive grants of up to $50,000 each will be available for existing for-profit small businesses that meet grant criteria.


Business owners interested in receiving a grant are encouraged to review eligibility criteria and application requirements.

Election Day is

Tuesday, Nov. 8, 2022.


On Election Day, we celebrate the most basic act of citizenship: voting. The right to vote is one of our most important rights as American citizens. It is important for all eligible voters to participate in every election in order to ensure the strength of our republic.

 

If you haven’t already, make your way to the polls tomorrow between 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. and make sure your voice is heard. Don't forget to grab an "I Voted" sticker and wear it proudly!


Need a lift? Free bus rides are being offered on Election Day! Buses will operate on normal schedules. For more information, contact the Calvert County Department of Community Resources, Public Transportation Division at 410-535-1600, ext. 2360.

Calvert County and the Calvert County Veterans Affairs Commission are joining jurisdictions across the United States to participate in Operation Green Light for veterans, an initiative designed to shine a light on the service and sacrifices of our veterans and their families.


Running Nov. 7-13, 2022, Operation Green Light is a national initiative focused on supporting military veterans and their families while bringing awareness to the challenges they face and the resources available to veterans.
