Announcements and Events
Hot Lunch
Ordering for May opens on Sunday, April 10. You have 15 days each month to order, so don't wait until the last day! Go to www.boonli.com and use the school password falcon174 to open an account. Emergency lunches are available for $5, and consist of string cheese, soup crackers, and a drink. Regular meals are not available if you don't order ahead. 
Pie 'N Burger Day - April 11th
You did it! We reached 100% participation from our parents in support of this year’s Blessed Are the Children! In appreciation of your support, Pie 'N Burger is donating a special lunch for all the parents and students on April 11th.

BIG THANK YOU to Michael and Jane Osborn, owners of Pie 'n Burger, for underwriting the huge majority of this luncheon for 26 years. Proud parents of Michael 2000, Kelly 2002 and Robert 2006.

SPAS Book Drive
As you do your Spring Cleaning, please gather books for our upcoming Book Drive on May 25, 26 and 27. Gently used books for readers of all ages will be given as gifts through Homeboy Industries. Click here for more information.
Dodger Baseball!
SPAS has partnered with the Los Angeles Dodgers for the 2022 season to help us raise fund  and enjoy Dodger Baseball! For each ticket purchased through this special link, a portion of the ticket proceeds will go back to our school.

Grandparents & Special Friends Day
We love our Grandparents and Special Friends! 

On Friday, May 6, from 8am-11am, we will host our annual Grandparents and Special Friends Day. We want to be sure your child’s grandparents or special friends are included.

Please fill out this form so that we can send them an invitation with all the information. Please do this by Friday, April 8. We will be sending the invitations next week. Thank you!

Procare
Please remember to check your child(ren) into Procare every morning.
Financial Aid
Applications are available on our website now for the Catholic Education Foundation Tuition Assistance Program. Please review the parameters as they have expanded to include more income levels. Please apply if you qualify!

Art Show Volunteers
We will be having the art show and preview night on Thursday May 5 and take down Monday May 9. We are going to need parent volunteers all day Thursday for the set up and Monday morning for the take down. Please email mrenn@stphiliptheapostle.org if you are able to work. You will receive volunteer hours!

Used Uniform Office Hours
The Used Uniform Committee will be holding office hours on Friday, April 29th and May 20th. Stop by the PTO Closet, outside of the Ministry Center, if you are in need of used uniforms or would like to drop off donations. If you have any questions, please reach out to the Used Uniform Committee at uniforms@stphiliptheapostle.org.

Onsite Covid testing for uninsured persons will no longer be covered. Please click the link below for additional information. 

Covid Vaccination
Please send a copy of your child's covid vaccination card to the following email address once your child is fully vaccinated (14 days from last dose):

Surveillance Testing
We encourage all those who are eligible to test this week. However, if tested positive for covid within the last 90 days, please do not test unless advised to do so by a healthcare professional. Recently positive persons may continue testing positive for up to 90 days.

Make sure to send your child with the completed lab form and include your email address to receive results. Click here for the lab form.

Do not email your lab forms without first speaking with someone in the front office.

2022-23 Calendar Snapshot
Meet the Teacher Day will be Tuesday, August 23rd and the last day of school will be June 15th. The complete calendar will be released at a later date. You can find the calendar snapshot for the 2022-23 school year here.
Camp Falcon 2022

Summer School
We are excited to announce that Summer school will be offered again this year for incoming K - 5 students! Classes will take place during the weeks of June 20th-24th and June 27th -July 1st. Click here for classes and registration information.

Volunteer Requirement Update Effective 2/15/22
All volunteer requirements must be up to date in order to volunteer on campus:

  • Virtus
  • TB
  • LiveScan Fingerprinting
  • Fully vaccinated against Covid-19 (14 days after second dose of a 2-dose regimen, and boosted if booster-eligible) or negative covid test within 24 hours of your volunteer time. Either a PCR or an antigen test is fine for this proof.

You will not be allowed to volunteer on campus for school or PTO events if anything is missing. If you are not sure, contact Estela Deocampo at (626)795-9691.

Please send a copy of vaccination cards including booster shot information for parents and students to vaccination@stphiliptheapostle.org

If you need school hours, but do not meet all requirements, please contact pto@stphiliptheapostle.org, and we will help to find off campus alternatives. 

You are required to complete service hours for Tuition Plans A/C regardless of vaccination status. 
Parish
Parish Hours Available- Respect Life Ministry
Fulfill your parish hours by delivering Mother's Day gifts for the Respect Life Ministry. We are looking for parents to deliver Mother's Day Gifts for the Pregnancy Help Center of San Gabriel Valley. Gifts are to be dropped off to the homes of women in Pasadena and surrounding cities. 1-4 hours are available each for a few volunteers. Delivery is done anytime between April 23rd and May 6th. Therefore, you can determine if you want your hours applied to this school year or next year. If you are interested, please contact Sarah Di Cicco at sarahtdicicco@gmail.com. Thank you!
Parish Hours Available- Alter Server Clothing
We are looking for help washing and ironing the altar server clothing that our students use during the school and weekend masses. If you are interested in helping with the altar serving garments please contact Ana Garza via email at anamaria.garza88@gmail.com. We still need help this school year and next so please let us know. It’s an easy way to get your parish hours!
