A Southern Baptist Association
From Your Associational Mission Strategist

We have one camp down and two to go! Our Day Camp went very well and I am excited that we had 23 children participating. I am very thankful for Amber Posey who directed our camp. Her leadership was outstanding as she planned and led the camp missionaries to help the campers know more about God. We had several camp missionaries from a church outside our association to help us this year and we couldn't have had this camp without them! I also am thankful for a team from Arabi Baptist Church who prepared and served most of our meals. This camp is very vital to our association and I am praying that many of the campers who attended the camp will attend our overnight camps when they meet the grade requirements.

Our two overnight camps are taking place this month and I want to encourage our churches to pray for our Camp Directors and the camp missionaries who will be serving. We are still in need of at least two more men or male high school teens to help with Boys Camp. If you can help, please let me know as soon as possible.

Your support for these camps is very important! Without people who are willing to be on mission at our camps each year, we could not offer these camps to the children in our communities. This camp ministry is our Jerusalem and it is just as important as going on mission to other places where many of our churches are involved. Please be in prayer now for our upcoming camps that God will move in a mighty way!

I would also like to encourage our churches in praying for those churches who are without Pastors. We currently have 9 churches without Pastors. Every church in our Network is important to the Kingdom and the churches who are without a Shepherd are in need of our support and prayers.

I have heard good VBS reports from some of our churches and I was able to visit a few when I was available. If you have a few pictures you can send to us, we would love to post them on our Facebook page. Also, if there were any decisions for Christ that were made, please share that with us as well. I appreciate all of our churches that had VBS! I know it made an impact for the Kingdom!

It is my prayer that we will continue to work together to reach the lost in our communities. We need to be united in our efforts and I pray that each church will continue to strive to be a healthy Kingdom-focused church. If there is any way that I can help your church, please don't hesitate to call. I can provide training for most ministries of the church! It is a joy to be your Mission Strategist!

What to do with all those old Sunday School books?

Don’t throw them away–bring them to SCBN Office

Bring your old SS literature to SCBN Center. Chad Harris will take it to an Edwin L. Hodges Ministries collection site to send overseas. ELHM is a Christian literature ministry that collects donated Bibles, books, magazines, tapes, and tracts from American Christians and ships them to Bible schools, churches, missionaries, and ministries overseas. ELHM is a non-denominational, nonprofit, evangelical ministry.
