Weekly Director Letter 06/24/2022
Dear Parents,

This week was an exciting one at Kids For Kids. Our students in Blue, Rainbow, Brown, Purple, Orange, Silver, and Gold had an onsite field trip on the Jungle Gym. They exercised and jammed to the music. You will see if your child was in attendance for this your account was billed a field trip charge. Also, our apologies, the field trip charge from last week did not post so it was also posted to your accounts this week.

Our students in Silver Door spent their STEM time this week exploring chain reactions. Our Gold Door students worked on building amusement park rides. The entire school had a wonderful musical adventure with our fabulous music teacher Miss Clarice.

The rest of the school had their passports stamped this week in Africa. Please read the weekly letters to learn more about the specific activities. I am happy to report that the majority of our students have adapted well to their new classes. Seem the favorite time of day is when they get to go out to the playground and enjoy our new shade sails that are keeping the sun out of their eyes and well shaded.

Summer schedules are more lax so you can arrive any time you wish. Please keep in mind if you plan to arrive after 10:00 that you message the school or call so that we can make sure your child is counted for lunch. Remember if your child is in our east wing classes to make sure and have their temperature checked before taking them to class. Also please remember for insurance purposes, all kids need to be signed in and out daily. Thank you for your cooperation with this.

Kids in Silver and Gold Door who are bringing water bottles to school are complaining that the water is getting hot in the plastic bottles. We are refilling them with cold water. Parents can help by sending in metal water bottles and perhaps having ice in them to keep them colder throughout the day.

Finally, it is with sadness that I share that Miss Delly will be retiring after 15 years of distinguished service at our school. Her last day with us will be next Thursday, June 30th. We wish her the very best in her retirement. She will be greatly missed by students, staff, and parents.

Have a wonderful weekend!
