Northwest Michigan FCA September Newsletter

The new school year has begun, and FCA ministry is kicking off all across the region. We have several new Huddles in the planning process- McBain, Mancelona, Frankfort, and Manton are all schools that are working to begin FCA Huddles, so if you would like to get involved, please reach out!

We will have 2 Fields of Faith events again this year! The Traverse City location will be held on Wednesday, October 9th at Thirlby Field. Cleveland Browns and Cavaliers Team Chaplin Nobles Darby will be traveling to Northern Michigan to be our guest speaker! The Gaylord location will be held on Sunday, October 6th at the Gaylord Community Field. Sponsorship opportunities are still available for this event, and they due on September 20. Nobles C. Darby IV, a native of Cleveland, OH graduated from Maple Heights High School in 2005. He was a three-sport athlete coming up playing football, basketball and baseball. From there he went on to pursue a career in marketing on a full scholarship at Bowling Green State University but would eventually continue his studies at Cleveland State University where he graduated with his Bachelor of Arts Degree.

Nobles serves as the Metro Cleveland Director for the Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA) which is a global sports ministry organization leveraging the platform of sports to share the gospel of Jesus Christ. In his role, Nobles oversees field staff, ministry and community initiatives, runs sports camps/clinics, hosts events and provides character coaching for high school and professional athletes.

While his dream was to one day play in the NFL, God redirected his steps to now serve the NFL, NBA, and G-League. Nobles currently serves as the Chaplain for the Cleveland Browns, and Co-Chaplain for the Cleveland Cavaliers and Cleveland Charge (Cavs G-League Affiliate) where he ministers directly to players and the coaching staff.

He is a proud husband to Hadassah Darby and has been married since 2016. They have one child, Nobles C. Darby V, who is affectionately known as "Cinco".

Nobles has a heart for coaches and athletes. He drives home the message of finding your purpose and walking in God's divine will for your life.
