2023 SLRCC SCHOLARSHIPS PRESENTED

Two Gray-New Gloucester seniors, Michael Maines and Teada Chhem, were each presented with a $1000 SLRCC Scholarship on May 25. Presenting the scholarships on behalf of the chamber were board members, Michael Splane and Marcel Vachon!!

On June 8th, 2023, 34 teams of golfers descended on Point Sebago in Casco for the 23rd Annual SLRCC Golf Open.

The top two teams were:

  • "Gross" score (top pic) - "Helluva 4-Iron", Joe Twer, Garrett Chambers, Ian Heiselmeyer and Rich Sentnor)
  • "Net" score (bottom pic) - Key Bank, Trent Cunningham, Joe McLean, Adam Brockman, and Aaron Hagan.

Golf balls are $10 each and will be dropped from a

Windham Ladder Firetruck at Summerfest- June 24th.


The ball closest to the “pin” wins 20% of the proceeds (that’s up to $2,000 if we sell all 10,000 balls)! There will be ancillary prizes for other golf balls as well.

  • Concierge guides: We are also looking for concierge guides--folks who know the area very well and can get paid to help people plan their trip. No booking requirements for this service, just itinerary building (e.g., do this, go here, etc.).
  • Referrals: If you know of guides who are looking for more business, please refer them to us. We would be happy to work with them and help them grow their business.
  • Send guests our way: If you could send guests our way when they are looking for something to do, we would greatly appreciate it. We offer a variety of experiences and are happy to help travelers find something that suits their interests.
  • We are a resource for property/AirBnB owners: If you own lodging accommodations, we can also send you flyers to share with your guests.
