Give your Mother a Garden Tour Ticket!

Self-Guided Tour of 12 Residential Gardens
Fairmount Hill Neighborhood
Salem, Oregon
June 4 & 5, 2022
10-4pm
Our 2022 Neighborhood Garden Tour will take place on Saturday & Sunday, June 4 & 5, from 10 am to 4 pm on both days in the lovely Fairmount Hill neighborhood, south of downtown Salem, Oregon. The tour features 12 residential gardens, four of which are Lord & Schryver designs.

The annual event is a fundraiser for the Lord & Schryver Conservancy. This year, one-day tickets are $30 and two-day tickets are $40. Children under 16 are free. We continue to require limited timed entry to manage capacity and safety. Tickets must be purchased ahead online, no sales during the garden tour.

Please note: Due to hilly and uneven terrain, accessibility to the gardens on this tour may not be safe or comfortable for those with mobility issues. Also, driving between individual gardens is discouraged to respect the privacy of the neighbors.

The tour begins with your check-in at Fairmount City Park where you will receive the tour map. If you drive, we urge you to park at the Eye Care Physicians & Surgeons lot at 2001 Commercial Street (cross street is Rural Avenue.) A free shuttle will take you from the parking lot to the Welcome Tent. Please consider taking public transportation. A convenient bus stop is located at the corner of Commercial Street and Rural Avenue. There is limited free parking along Rural Avenue and neighboring streets.

Fairmount City Park has public bathrooms, picnic tables, and grassy areas to spread a blanket if you wish to bring a picnic meal. We are exploring the possibility of food trucks to purchase lunch or snacks.

Volunteers Still Needed!

Welcome visitors at the entrance to each garden as a garden host. Shifts range from 2.5 - 3.5 hours and volunteers will be thanked with free entrance to the tour on the day that they work (of course we still welcome your support for this important fundraiser.)

Please email info@lordschryver.org to volunteer at the garden tour!
Happy Spring and see you in the garden,
Pam Wasson
