The Workforce Development Board is hiring!
We have 2 job opportunities in Utica, NY:
Case Manager:
Case Managers devote 100% of their time to specific grant populations depending on the grant requirements. Assists the Program Director by providing direct services including program recruitment and retention. Provides leadership training to participants as well as mentoring and support. Counsels individuals with meeting education and employment goals and with all employment related activities. Secures information such as education, skills and social factors contributing to the client’s situation and evaluate their needs. Assists the client with resumes, cover letters, job searches and interview preparation. Provides on the job support as needed once the individual becomes employed. Compiles records and complete case notes and reports.
Business Services Representative:
The Business Services Representative is a semi-autonomous position responsible for programmatic and employer related activities. Develops and implements agreed upon business outreach plan to meet business goals. Works within the business services team for the achievement of customer satisfaction and long-term employer relationship goals in line with agency values, mission and vision. Individual accountability and work volume will be established through the development of annual objectives.

Vitality in the Valley is organized by FuzeHub and hosted by Herkimer College in partnership with the Advanced Institute for Manufacturing (AIM), the Herkimer County Industrial Development Agency (IDA), and – for the first time ever – the Institute for Rural Vitality at SUNY Cobleskill.

In partnering with existing training programs – including those preparing students for the GED (certficate of high school equivalency) – Career Pathways will provide encouragement and incentives, as well as referrals to employers, to allow individuals to follow a pathway to success.
Eligible Career Pathways participants can also receive up to $1000 in Supportive services.
